Word interface (screen elements)

 



The main screen elements of Microsoft Word are:

  1. Title Bar – Displays the name of the current document and Microsoft Word.
  2. Quick Access Toolbar – Provides quick access to common commands like Save, Undo, and Redo.
  3. File Tab – Used to create, open, save, print, and share documents.
  4. Ribbon – Contains tabs (Home, Insert, Layout, etc.) with groups of commands.
  5. Document Area (Workspace) – The area where you type and edit your document.
  6. Ruler – Helps set margins, indents, and tab stops.
  7. Scroll Bars – Used to move up, down, left, or right through the document.
  8. Status Bar – Shows information such as page number, word count, and language.
  9. View Buttons – Switch between different document views.
  10. Zoom Slider – Zooms in or out of the document.
